We chose to use the Burbank Studios backlot, the street there, for several
reasons. One, it was available to us for a long length of time, and two,
it had never been used in the way we were going to use it. It's a streeet
that's been seen in a lot of forties movies, and it's been seen in movies
that Warner Brothers had made recently. "1941" is a prime example.
But our job was to take the street and design it into the future. The
whole design idea was to give us a very dense-looking, cloistered look. |
