The 25th Anniversary Blade Runner Final Cut is scheduled to be shown at a few cinemas in the next few months. The release is extremely limited and mostly tied to film festivals. I have not yet heard of it going on worldwide theatrical release and there doesn't seem to be any indication it will do so before the DVD release just before Christmas 2007. Don't blame me!

Venice Film Festival (Aug-Sep 2007)

Was well received (see main news). Scott made lots of comments. Some of the stars of the film were there, but not Harrison Ford, who couldn't pull himself away from making another Indian Jones movie. Quite ironic really - I seem to recall that for his first meeting with Ridley Scott about Blade Runner, he pulled himself away from the Indiana Jones set, still wearing his Indy costume! [Did you go? 45th New York Film Festival (Sep 28 - Oct 15)

To be held at the Frederick P. Rose Hall at Lincoln Center. The Blade Runner Final Cut will be shown along with a panel discussion - "The Future is Now - Blade Runner at 25".
